About Tata Steel
Tata Steel was established in 1907 in Jamshedpur (Asia's first planned industrial city) by visionary industrialist Jamsetji N. Tata and Dorabji Tata. It built Asia's first integrated steel plant, manufacturing steel rails that supported India's national railway expansion.

Operating major integrated steelworks at Jamshedpur, Kalinganagar, and Meramandali in India alongside operations in the UK (Port Talbot) and the Netherlands (IJmuiden), Tata Steel produces automotive-grade steel, construction rebar, industrial pipes, and green hydrogen-reduced steel.
