About BrowserStack

BrowserStack was founded in 2011 in Mumbai by IIT Bombay alumni Ritesh Arora and Nakul Aggarwal. Frustrated by the time spent testing their website across different browsers, they built a cloud-based solution. The product found immediate global product-market fit, growing rapidly while remaining entirely bootstrapped for its first seven years.

Today, BrowserStack operates massive global data centers filled with physical mobile devices, allowing developers to test web and mobile apps on real hardware in the cloud. It raised its first outside capital in 2018 (Accel) and reached unicorn status in 2021, acquiring several companies like Percy (visual testing) and Nightwatch.js along the way.
