About Datadog
Datadog was founded by two engineers working at a SaaS company who realized that developers (who wrote the code) and operations teams (who ran the infrastructure) were constantly at odds because they used completely different tools. They built Datadog to provide a single, unified dashboard for both teams.
As companies migrated to highly complex, distributed cloud architectures, Datadog became indispensable. The platform automatically aggregates metrics, distributed traces, logs, and security signals into a 'single pane of glass', allowing engineering teams to instantly identify and resolve issues.
