About Dream11

Dream11 was founded in 2008 in Mumbai by Harsh Jain and Bhavit Sheth, fueled by their passion for sports and fantasy leagues (like English Premier League fantasy football) which were not prevalent in India. It took them several years and pivots to find the right product-market fit, eventually launching the daily/weekly fantasy cricket model.

Dream11 became the first Indian gaming company to reach unicorn status in 2019. It grew exponentially alongside the popularity of the IPL (Indian Premier League), eventually becoming the IPL's title sponsor in 2020. The parent company, Dream Sports, also operates FanCode (sports content) and DreamSetGo (sports experiences).
