About LTIMindtree

LTIMindtree is the result of a massive consolidation within the L&T group. Mindtree was founded in 1999 by a group of industry veterans (including Ashok Soota and Subroto Bagchi) and was acquired through a hostile takeover by infrastructure giant L&T in 2019. L&T already owned its own successful IT services arm, L&T Infotech (LTI), founded in 1997.

In 2022, L&T merged both entities to create LTIMindtree, instantly forming India's 5th largest IT services company by market capitalization. The merger combined LTI's strengths in complex ERP and enterprise systems with Mindtree's deep capabilities in digital engineering and customer experience.
