About NTT DATA
NTT DATA was established in 1988 as a spin-off from the Japanese telecommunications giant NTT. While it dominated the Japanese IT market (building massive national infrastructure systems), it expanded globally through aggressive acquisitions in the 2000s and 2010s.
A major milestone for its Indian operations was the 2016 acquisition of Dell Services (formerly Perot Systems) for over $3 billion, which drastically increased its footprint in India and its capabilities in healthcare IT. Today, India serves as the largest delivery hub for NTT DATA globally.
