About Postman

Postman began in 2012 as a side project by Abhinav Asthana while working at Yahoo in Bengaluru. Frustrated by the difficulties of testing and sharing APIs, he built a simple Chrome extension. Realizing the massive global demand, he founded the company in 2014 alongside Abhijit Kane and Ankit Sobti.

Postman evolved from a simple API testing tool into a comprehensive API collaboration platform covering the entire API lifecycle (design, mocking, testing, documentation, and monitoring). It is currently one of India's most highly valued SaaS exports, used by virtually every major technology company worldwide.
