About Razorpay

Razorpay was founded in 2014 by IIT Roorkee alumni Harshil Mathur and Shashank Kumar. Experiencing the difficulty of accepting online payments for their own projects, they built a developer-friendly payment gateway. Razorpay was the second India-focused startup to be selected for the Y Combinator accelerator program.

Over the years, Razorpay expanded from a pure payment gateway into a full-stack 'neobanking' platform for businesses. It introduced RazorpayX for business banking and payouts, and Razorpay Capital for corporate lending. The company achieved unicorn status in 2020.

What Razorpay Does

Payments

RazorpayX
